Description

IMCS-2000-S is a desktop Melting & Casting furnace for operation at ambient or slightly positive pressure The automatic rotary chamber with an induction heater can melt up to 100 g material (use Fe as reference) up to 1700°C under inert gases. It is an excellent tool to explore new-generation alloys. SPECIFICATIONS Power Supply 208 - 240VAC 50/60Hz, single phase 5 kW Heating and temperature control Induction heating and casting in a closed chamber. Single-point temperature control Temperature control via a B-type thermocouple Adjustable heating power. Up to 1700 degrees Celsius. Melting and Casting The automatic tilting function allows the melt is cast into the mold immediately. One graphite crucible 32 ID × 60 mm Depth ) (about 100 g Fe) One quartz insulation for graphite crucible (39 ID × 60 mm Depth) One quartz-casting lip One graphite casting mold ( 36 ID × 60 mm Depth) BN casting mold is available at $190 Note: Compressive air pump or compress Ar gas is required for tilting melting/casting chamber Vacuum and Atmosphere Max. Vacuum~5 torr (via an external mechanical pump); ~200 torr (via the internal pump). Atmosphere: 800 - 900 torr under Ar gas. Max pressure: 1100 torr One internal mechanical pump is included. One built-in Ar gas venting port. Note: Ar gas cannot continuously flow through the chamber during melt-casting. Note: The furnace is designed to work under positive Ar gas instead of a high vacuum. For high-vacuum melting, please consider IMCS-2000. Control Panel Touch Screen and PLC digital control Operation Environment Ambient temperature 30% – 93% RH Cooling 16 L/m water cooling is required.
