SKU: otf-1500x-s-st

Price: RFQ

Description

  • or OTF-1500X-S-ST is a compact high-temperature tensile strength tester via a small punch method, also called  SPT - small punch tester, which can test the high-temperature mechanical strength of materials up to 1350°C via a small disc ( 8 mm dia ) quickly and economically.

Power
  • AC 208-240V Single Phase, 50/60 Hz
  • 2.5 KW
  • 15A air creaker is required
  • 10 ft power cable is included, but no power plug
Furnace
  • Compact and splitable tube furnace with Alumina fiber inner insulator and double-layer steel outer layer
  • Temperature accuracy: +/- 0.1 °C (Euro-Therm controller available at extra cost)
  • The furnace is located in a vacuum chamber for atmosphere control.
Punch Die Fixture
& Sample
  • The fixture ( die) is made of recrystallized SiC
  • The fixture consists of two parts and tightens by M18x2
  • The sample to be tested: 8 mm dia. x 0.5 mm thickness, which is tightened in the middle of the die.
  • Click here to order extra SiC Die
  • Optional: you may use CNC Sample Puncher to make the round sample. ( click Pic.4 to order )
  • Pic. 4
Pushing Rod

  • Pushing rod is made of Moly via precision machining (Pic. 1)
  • Click here to order extra Mo Punch Rod
  • An alignment connector is installed with the pushing rod to ensure 2.5 mm dia. head in the center of the SiC die. (Pic. 2)

Or any equivalent water chiller of your own choice
Heating Furnace & Vacuum Chamber

  • Special MoSi2 heating elements are built in a split-able furnace with thermal insulation.
  • Mac. working Temperature
  • 1350°C ≤ continuously
  • The heating furnace is fixed in the vacuum-sealed chamber with a hinged type door
  • Working gas: All types of inert gas and oxygen gas.
  • Max. Vacuum level: 10-2 torr by a mechanical pump and 10-5 torr by turbopump. Please click the pictures below to choose a pump and digital vacuum gauge separately. (Pic. 1-2), and digital vacuum gauge (Pic.3)
  • For better atmosphere control, please choose the gas purification system below (pic 4) to reduce oxygen and humidity less than 1 ppm.

  • Built-in PID Auto-Tune function with overheating & broken thermocouple broken protection.
  • Over-temperature protection and alarm allow for operation without attendant(s).
  • +/- 1 ºC temperature accuracy.
  • RS485 Communications Port to connect a laptop with operation software.

Fixture for Yield Strength

  • The pressure is applied to the pushing rod via heavy-duty DC motor.
  • Constant loading speed is driven by a step motor with 2,000N Max. force
  • Loading speed: 0.02 to 60 mm/ minute adjustable
  • Load sensor accuracy +/- 0.2 N
  • The displacement sensor is built-in with +/- 1-micron accuracy
 Control Panel
  • A laptop computer will be used as a control panel with software to program working temperature and pushing rod speed
  • One computer will control 4 sets of the machine.
  • Software is included, but the Laptop computer is optional at the extra cost.
  • The PC will display and record the force vs displacement for each sample at a set temperature.

Optional

  • Multi machines controlled by a single PC is available for high-throughput research

Compliance

  • CE Certified
  • NRTL certification (UL61010) or CSA certification is available upon request at extra cost.
