Description

STC-PC25 is a split-able test for a single-layer pouch of 1"x1" that is designed for high-throughput R&D battery material testing without any crimper. The smart design allows you to quickly and easily assemble a coin cell by hand tightening to increase research efficiency. It can be used for both liquid and solid-state batteries.

  • Easy cell assembling by "thread-in" the bottom contacting plate and top plunger into the PTFE sleeve.
  • The air-tight design ensures zero electrolyte leakage.
  • A vacuum port is available on the top side for better electrolyte injection under vacuum, which can improve electrolyte wettability on electrodes. 
  • The I.D. of the outlet port is around 3.3 mm, which is compatible with a O.D.1/8" tubing for connect wit GC-MS for in-situ analysis.
  • Easy to separate and clean after use
  • Same functionality as the "Swagelok Type Cell" with various size options (standard size of 1" * 1").
  • O-ring is a kind of FKM with partial fluorination, which has a good anti-corrosion property in regular battery electrolytes. 
  • Metal terminals are easily connected with the clips of MTI battery analyzers for performance tests. 
  • O-ring is made of fluorine rubber to ensure no liquid electrolyte leaking

  • The anode, separator, and cathode are required to be inserted into the split pouch cell
    • Anode electrode size: L25.4 mm x W 25.4 mm
    • Separator cutting die: L28.4 mm x W 28.4 mm ( Must cut thin separator with paper )
    • Cathode Die (mm): L25.4 mm x W are requied25.4 mm
  • You may click the picture left (Pic. 1) to order one set of die cutters to make the electrode.
  • Electrodes shall be cleaned by UV-Oz cleaner ( Pic left 2)
Press to Apply External Pressure (optional)
  • Digital Press (eg: YLJ-01TAYLJ-5TA) can be used to apply accurate force on split cell

Insertion Thickness
  • Max. total thickness of the electrode/separator inserted into the cell is up to 6mm 

Tighten pressure

  • You may order a digital torque screwdriver to tighten the screw and keep the pressure constant
