Shim (Spacer)
|

- Tip: The thickness of the shim determines the slot opening of the die and thus has a major impact on the final coating thickness. The rule of thumb is that thinner shim will produce the thinner film, vice versa.

Coating Thickness & Precision
|
- Single-layer coating thickness: 5 - 300 micron, which is decided by slurry viscosity, feeding speed, and the gap between slot die and substrate.
- The end-user has to practice to find the best parameters.
- 1 µm ±1% ( dried film )
Attention: The final coating thickness is dependent on a wide range of parameters such as slurry viscosity, solid particle size, solid content, shim thickness, foil rolling speed, and slurry feeding rate. Therefore, we are not able to guarantee that a 1-micron level film is achievable for all kinds of slurries. For further discussion, please let us know your slurry specs and coating thickness requirement.

- You may order Dual-Filtration System for NMP Vapor (Pic. 1) and connect it to the coating system for keeping environmentally healthy.
- You may order the Magnetic De-ironing Filtration system (Pic. 2) for optimizing the battery electrode slurry condition before the coating process.
- Atmosphere plasma treatment is available upon request. The plasma treatment could activate and increase the energy of the substrate.
