 OTF-1500X-80-VTQ is a split vertical quenching tube furnace with an 80 mm OD alumina tube, which is designed for quenching samples from high temperatures ( Max. 1500°C) into an ice water bath or quenching oil to study material phase transitions and microstructures. It is also compatible with air-sensitive samples to heat and quenches in oxygen and the water-free environment with an MTI gas purification and circulation system (as shown in the main image). (Auto electromagnetic sample hanger is added since 07/21/2016)    (Manual gate valve was upgraded to an electric one since 6/26/2017 ) SPECIFICATIONS Furnace Structure Dual-layer steel furnace case with air cooling to keep case surface temperature < 65°C. The tube furnaces with alumina tubes are designed for use under vacuum or positive pressure < 0.02 Mpa / 0.2 Bar/ 3 PSI (relative pressure) Never use graphite crucible in the alumina tube. Attention: A two-stage pressure regulator must be installed on the gas cylinder to limit the pressure below 3 PSI for safe operation. Click here to learn the installation of a gas regulator . Never heat the furnace while the gas release valve is closed and a positive pressure condition (>3 psi) exists within the furnace chamber. The flow rate of working gas should be limited to < 200 SCCM ( or < 200ml/min )
